The second seminar of the year 2024 focused on the theme of circularity, which had already been addressed in the Chair's first phase, in its « Summer School 2021 ». The focus this time was on the challenges of scaling up circularity for the supply chain.
The seminar, organized by Louis Vuitton's supply chain teams, brought together almost 50 participants in Cergy, at the Maison Vuitton repair workshops. The program included warehouse visits, group workshops on circularity models (including repair) and presentations by experts on how to integrate large-scale sustainable models into the supply chain.
Seminar highlights
- Louis Vuitton: Repair workshops emblematic of the company's sustainable DNA.
- Decathlon: Business models generating circular sales.
- Renault: An integrated approach to eco-design and materials recycling.
- Michelin: Three circular models to anticipate the group's need for sustainable materials.
- Argon & Co: Seven business models analyzed, with a focus on operational challenges.
Experts at the meeting
The seminar was enriched by contributions from institutional and industrial experts (Schneider, Valdelia, Secrétariat Général à la Planification Écologique, Direction Générale des Entreprises, Vallée de la Chimie Lyonnaise, Vauban Infrastructure Partners) and by academic insights from ENPC and its research laboratory, CIRED.
Immersion at Louis Vuitton
A visit to Louis Vuitton's warehouses and repair shop in Cergy enabled participants to discover concrete circularity practices.
Finally, an analysis matrix of circularity models was co-constructed with the participants, offering a concrete tool for integrating these concepts into their businesses.
An essential meeting to be repeated regularly with all players wishing to reinvent the supply chain around circularity, and successfully scale up circular models.
